Google Search Console, Bing and GA4 in Claude

Claude supports remote MCP servers as custom connectors on every plan, with a limit on Free. Add GSC Magic once and it follows you across claude.ai, the desktop apps and mobile.

In short

Add GSC Magic as a custom connector in Claude (Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, URL https://mcp.gscmagic.com/mcp), sign in with Google once, and Claude can query your Search Console, Bing and GA4 data in any chat, including the mobile apps. Works on Claude Free with one connector.

Set up in 4 steps

  1. Create a GSC Magic account and connect Google (Search Console, GA4 and Tag Manager in one consent). Pick the sites to import.
  2. In Claude open Settings → Connectors (Customize → Connectors on some plans) and choose Add custom connector. Or use the one-click "Add to Claude" button below.
  3. Name it GSC Magic and paste https://mcp.gscmagic.com/mcp. Claude redirects you to GSC Magic to sign in and approve access.
  4. Enable the connector in a chat and ask: "List my Search Console properties", then "What should I fix this week?"

Good to know

  • Team and Enterprise Owners can add the connector for the whole organization from Admin settings; every member then signs in with their own GSC Magic account.
  • Sign-in uses OAuth: the client opens a GSC Magic page where you sign in and approve once. No API key or token to paste.
  • Everything is read-only unless you turn on write mode on a paid plan, so your agent can look but not change your site.
  • Claude Free allows one custom connector; Pro and Max allow more. GSC Magic itself has a free plan.

What to ask once connected

  • "List my Search Console properties and the one with the most clicks last 28 days."
  • "Which queries sit in positions 4–10 with the most impressions? Suggest title changes."
  • "Compare clicks this month with last month by page and tell me what moved."
  • "Which URLs in my sitemap are not indexed, and what does the inspection say?"
  • "How many sessions came from ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude last month, and to which pages?"

Troubleshooting

The connector shows as connected but Claude says it has no tools.

Your GSC Magic workspace has no imported sites yet, or the Google consent was cancelled. Open the dashboard, finish Connect Google and import at least one property, then toggle the connector off and on in Claude.

Claude asks me to sign in again every week.

That is Google issuing short-lived refresh tokens while an app is in testing mode on Google's side, not a Claude setting. It stops once the GSC Magic Google app is in production; reconnecting from the dashboard restores access in the meantime.

"Add custom connector" is missing.

On Team and Enterprise plans an Owner has to add connectors in Organization settings first. On Free you may already have one custom connector; remove it or upgrade.

Claude returns numbers for the wrong site.

Name the property in the prompt ("for sc-domain:example.com") or ask Claude to list properties first. Agency members only see their client group, so a 404 on a property means it is outside your grant.

Questions about Claude

Does it work in the Claude mobile app?

Yes. Custom connectors added on the web are available in the iOS and Android apps once you are signed in with the same Claude account.

Do I need Claude Pro?

No. Claude Free supports one custom connector. GSC Magic also has a free plan, so you can try the whole flow without paying anyone.

Can I use it with Claude Projects?

Yes. Enable the connector in the project's chats and add instructions such as "always use report_quick_wins first" to the project knowledge.
