Google Search Console, Bing and GA4 in n8n

n8n's MCP Client Tool node gives an AI Agent the tools of any remote MCP server, and the MCP Client node runs one tool as a regular workflow step. Both support the HTTP Streamable transport and bearer authentication, so GSC Magic connects with an access token.

In short

Add an MCP Client Tool node to your AI Agent, set Server Transport to HTTP Streamable and the endpoint to https://mcp.gscmagic.com/mcp, choose Bearer Auth with a GSC Magic access token, and the agent can pull Search Console, Bing and GA4 data inside any workflow.

Set up in 4 steps

  1. Create a GSC Magic account, connect Google, then create an access token under Connect → Access tokens (tick Read-only for reporting workflows).
  2. In your workflow, add an MCP Client Tool node to the AI Agent's Tool input. Set Server Transport to HTTP Streamable and the endpoint URL to https://mcp.gscmagic.com/mcp.
  3. Set Authentication to Bearer Auth and create a credential with your gsm_ token as the Bearer Token.
  4. Under Tools to Include pick All, or Selected to give the agent only the reports it needs, then run the workflow.

Good to know

  • Use the MCP Client node (not the Tool variant) when a workflow should call one fixed tool, such as a weekly report_quick_wins run, without an AI Agent.
  • Every tool call counts toward your plan. The Free plan allows 200 tool calls a month and 10 a day for one site. Pro removes the limits and stores 16 months of history.
  • On Free your agent can only read. On Pro and Agency write tools are available, and the owner can switch write mode off in Settings in one click.

What to ask once connected

  • "List my Search Console properties and the one with the most clicks last 28 days."
  • "Which queries sit in positions 4–10 with the most impressions? Suggest title changes."
  • "Compare clicks this month with last month by page and tell me what moved."
  • "Which URLs in my sitemap are not indexed, and what does the inspection say?"
  • "How many sessions came from ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude last month, and to which pages?"

Troubleshooting

The node only asks for an SSE Endpoint.

That is the first version of the node. Update n8n and add the node again: newer versions have the Server Transport option with HTTP Streamable.

The tool list stays empty or the node returns 401.

Check the credential: the Bearer Token field takes the token alone (gsm_…), n8n adds the word Bearer itself. Recreate the token if it expired.

The OAuth2 credential fails with a redirect error.

GSC Magic does not accept sign-in returns to an n8n instance address. Use Bearer Auth with an access token instead.

Questions about n8n

Does it work on n8n Cloud and self-hosted n8n?

Yes. GSC Magic is a public HTTPS endpoint, so any n8n instance with internet access can reach it with a token.
