Google Search Console, Bing and GA4 in LibreChat

LibreChat connects to remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP, configured in librechat.yaml. GSC Magic connects with an access token, either one shared key set by the admin or a key each user enters in the UI.

In short

Add a streamable-http server for https://mcp.gscmagic.com/mcp to librechat.yaml with an Authorization: Bearer header (or a per-user API key) and requiresOAuth: false, restart LibreChat, and its agents can query Search Console, Bing and GA4 data.

Set up in 3 steps

  1. Create a GSC Magic account, connect Google, then create an access token under Connect → Access tokens.
  2. Add the snippet below to the mcpServers section of librechat.yaml with your token.
  3. Restart LibreChat so it loads the server, then use the GSC Magic tools in a chat or add them to an agent.
librechat.yaml
mcpServers:
  gsc-magic:
    type: streamable-http
    url: https://mcp.gscmagic.com/mcp
    requiresOAuth: false
    headers:
      Authorization: "Bearer gsm_YOUR_TOKEN"

Good to know

  • A shared header key acts as one GSC Magic workspace owner for everyone on the LibreChat instance. Use a read-only token, or per-user keys if people should see different sites.
  • Keep the token out of the file: LibreChat resolves environment variable references in headers, so the value can come from your server environment.
  • On Free your agent can only read. On Pro and Agency write tools are available, and the owner can switch write mode off in Settings in one click.

What to ask once connected

  • "List my Search Console properties and the one with the most clicks last 28 days."
  • "Which queries sit in positions 4–10 with the most impressions? Suggest title changes."
  • "Compare clicks this month with last month by page and tell me what moved."
  • "Which URLs in my sitemap are not indexed, and what does the inspection say?"
  • "How many sessions came from ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude last month, and to which pages?"

Troubleshooting

LibreChat treats GSC Magic as an OAuth server and asks users to sign in.

Set requiresOAuth: false. Without it LibreChat probes the server without your header, sees the 401 challenge and assumes OAuth.

Each user should use their own GSC Magic account.

Replace the headers block with apiKey: { source: user, authorization_type: bearer }. Each user then enters their own gsm_ token in the UI.

Calls fail with 401 after a while.

The token expired or was revoked. Create a new one and update the key; tokens can last up to two years or have no expiry.

Questions about LibreChat

Can LibreChat use OAuth with GSC Magic?

Not today. LibreChat's OAuth returns to your LibreChat domain, which GSC Magic does not accept as a sign-in destination. Tokens work on any instance.
