Google Search Console, Bing and GA4 in Cline
Cline supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP with custom headers. Add GSC Magic to its MCP settings file and Cline can check rankings, index status and Core Web Vitals while it works on your site.

Create an access token in the GSC Magic dashboard, add a streamableHttp entry for https://mcp.gscmagic.com/mcp with an Authorization: Bearer header to Cline's MCP settings JSON, and Cline can call your Search Console, Bing and GA4 tools.
Set up in 3 steps
- Create a GSC Magic account, connect Google, then create an access token under Connect → Access tokens.
- In the Cline panel click the MCP Servers icon, open Configure and click Configure MCP Servers. Merge the snippet below into mcpServers (the CLI uses ~/.cline/data/settings/cline_mcp_settings.json).
- Save, check that gsc-magic shows its tools, then ask Cline to list your Search Console properties.
{
"mcpServers": {
"gsc-magic": {
"type": "streamableHttp",
"url": "https://mcp.gscmagic.com/mcp",
"headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer gsm_YOUR_TOKEN" },
"disabled": false,
"autoApprove": []
}
}
} Good to know
- Keep autoApprove limited to read tools. Write tools only exist on Pro and Agency with write mode on.
- On Free your agent can only read. On Pro and Agency write tools are available, and the owner can switch write mode off in Settings in one click.
- The Free plan allows 200 tool calls a month and 10 a day for one site. Pro removes the limits and stores 16 months of history.
What to ask once connected
- "List my Search Console properties and the one with the most clicks last 28 days."
- "Which queries sit in positions 4–10 with the most impressions? Suggest title changes."
- "Compare clicks this month with last month by page and tell me what moved."
- "Which URLs in my sitemap are not indexed, and what does the inspection say?"
- "How many sessions came from ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude last month, and to which pages?"

Troubleshooting
Cline connects but reports a transport error.
Set "type": "streamableHttp" explicitly. Without it Cline falls back to the legacy SSE transport, which GSC Magic does not use.
There is no field for the token in the Remote Servers tab.
The Remote Servers tab only takes a name, URL and transport. Add the header by editing the JSON under Configure MCP Servers, or use the CLI: cline mcp add gsc-magic https://mcp.gscmagic.com/mcp --transport http --header "Authorization: Bearer gsm_…" --yes.
Every call fails with 401.
The token was revoked, expired or pasted with extra spaces. Create a new one and replace the whole Bearer value.
Questions about Cline
Can I use Cline with a DeepSeek or local model?
Yes. GSC Magic does not care which model Cline uses, as long as the model supports tool calls.
