Google Search Console, Bing and GA4 in Hermes Agent
Hermes Agent connects to remote MCP servers over HTTP and handles OAuth 2.1 itself: dynamic client registration, PKCE and a callback on a local loopback port, which GSC Magic accepts.

Add a gsc-magic entry with url https://mcp.gscmagic.com/mcp and auth: oauth to ~/.hermes/config.yaml, restart Hermes, allow access on the GSC Magic page that opens, and Hermes can query your Search Console, Bing and GA4 data.
Set up in 4 steps
- Create a GSC Magic account, connect Google and import your sites.
- Add the snippet to ~/.hermes/config.yaml (merge it into an existing mcp_servers block).
- Restart Hermes. On first connect it prints a sign-in link and opens your browser; allow access on the GSC Magic page.
- Ask Hermes to list your Search Console properties.
mcp_servers:
gsc-magic:
url: "https://mcp.gscmagic.com/mcp"
auth: oauth Good to know
- Sign-in uses OAuth: the client opens a GSC Magic page where you sign in and approve once. No API key or token to paste.
- On Free your agent can only read. On Pro and Agency write tools are available, and the owner can switch write mode off in Settings in one click.
What to ask once connected
- "List my Search Console properties and the one with the most clicks last 28 days."
- "Which queries sit in positions 4–10 with the most impressions? Suggest title changes."
- "Compare clicks this month with last month by page and tell me what moved."
- "Which URLs in my sitemap are not indexed, and what does the inspection say?"
- "How many sessions came from ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude last month, and to which pages?"

Troubleshooting
Hermes runs on a headless server and the callback never arrives.
Open the printed link on your own computer, approve, then copy the full URL the browser ends on (it shows a connection error, which is expected) and paste it at the Hermes prompt. Hermes Desktop relays the callback automatically.
I would rather not use OAuth.
Create an access token in the dashboard and replace auth: oauth with headers: { Authorization: "Bearer gsm_…" } in the gsc-magic entry, then restart Hermes.
Hermes asks me to sign in again.
Tokens are cached in ~/.hermes/mcp-tokens/gsc-magic.json. If the refresh fails, run hermes mcp login gsc-magic.
Questions about Hermes Agent
Does Hermes need its own OAuth app for GSC Magic?
No. GSC Magic supports dynamic client registration, so Hermes registers itself automatically.
