Google Search Console, Bing and GA4 in goose
goose runs MCP servers as extensions, including remote ones over Streamable HTTP. It signs in with OAuth by registering itself automatically and catching the callback on 127.0.0.1, which GSC Magic accepts.

Add GSC Magic to goose as a Remote Extension (Streamable HTTP) with the URL https://mcp.gscmagic.com/mcp, approve access on the GSC Magic page that opens in your browser, and goose can work with your Search Console, Bing and GA4 data.
Set up in 4 steps
- Create a GSC Magic account, connect Google and import your sites.
- Desktop: open the sidebar, click Extensions, then Add custom extension, choose the Streamable HTTP type and enter https://mcp.gscmagic.com/mcp. CLI: run goose configure → Add Extension → Remote Extension (Streamable HTTP). Or add the snippet to ~/.config/goose/config.yaml.
- On first use goose opens the GSC Magic sign-in in your browser; allow access.
- Start a session and ask: "List my Search Console properties."
extensions:
gsc-magic:
type: streamable_http
name: gsc-magic
enabled: true
uri: https://mcp.gscmagic.com/mcp
timeout: 300 Good to know
- Sign-in uses OAuth: the client opens a GSC Magic page where you sign in and approve once. No API key or token to paste.
- On Free your agent can only read. On Pro and Agency write tools are available, and the owner can switch write mode off in Settings in one click.
What to ask once connected
- "List my Search Console properties and the one with the most clicks last 28 days."
- "Which queries sit in positions 4–10 with the most impressions? Suggest title changes."
- "Compare clicks this month with last month by page and tell me what moved."
- "Which URLs in my sitemap are not indexed, and what does the inspection say?"
- "How many sessions came from ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude last month, and to which pages?"

Troubleshooting
The sign-in cannot finish on a remote machine.
goose waits for the callback on 127.0.0.1 of the machine it runs on. Create an access token in the dashboard and add headers: { Authorization: "Bearer gsm_…" } to the extension in config.yaml instead.
An old SSE entry stopped working.
goose no longer supports SSE extensions. Use type: streamable_http with uri: https://mcp.gscmagic.com/mcp.
Too many tools in one session.
List only the tools you need under available_tools on the extension; an empty list loads everything your plan allows.
Questions about goose
Can I add GSC Magic for a single session only?
Yes: goose session --with-streamable-http-extension "https://mcp.gscmagic.com/mcp" starts a session with it without changing your config.
